Creamy Chicken, Bacon and Lentil Soup
Heat a drizzle of oil in a large pot on medium to high heat. Add the bacon and cook for about 2 minutes.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the onion, carrots, celery and leek. Stir, cover and cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the vegetables are just tender.

We have taken one of the original Shepherd’s Pie recipes from Create, Savour, Enjoy (our first cookbook) and added some curry ingredients to spice it up a bit for Winter.
Preheat oven to 2oo•c. Line an oven tray with baking paper. Toss kumara with a good drizzle of olive oil on prepared tray, season with salt and pepper, and roast for about 30 minutes or until golden and tender.
In a bowl, mix honey, gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Marinate chicken thighs in mix for 2-24 hours in the refrigerator. Note: If you don’t have time to marinate the chicken, just pour over chicken after you add to the baking dish.
